    JOB SUMMARY:

     

    This position provides friendly and efficient guest service while focusing on scanning tickets and passes for entry into the park. All to be done in a manner consistent with the Mission, Values, and Operating Philosophies of The Dollywood Company. 

     

     

    SUMMARY OF MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

     

    • Greet guests and initiate friendly interaction. Provide guest excellence which exceeds expectations, answer questions and provide park information.
    • Effectively use empowerment to ensure Dollywood’s Splash Country’s Satisfaction Guarantee is implemented.
    • Effectively perform ticket scanning process for park admission to include (but not limited to):
    • Assist guests with the scanning of all tickets into the computerized system.
    • Verify Photos of all Passholders.
    • Check I.D. and pass on all VIP admissions.
    • Check all Host and Dependent I.D.’s at gate.
    • Assist with the facilitation of lines.
    • Enforce Dollywood’s Splash Country’s Admissions policies
    • Maintain a sense of urgency towards my area of operation to reduce the guest wait time.
    • Clean and organize work area daily to present a professional appearance and use time productively including sweeping and clearing ceiling/fans of cobwebs.
    • Maintain a dependable work attendance and flexibility with assigned work schedules.
    • Complete required paperwork in a timely manner.
    • Maintain confidentiality at all times.
    • Follows All Host Safety Standards and General Safety Training guidelines and uses associated injury prevention measures.
    • Suspend operations when continuation would be inconsistent with Safety Standards or Procedures or presents a safety hazard to Guests or Hosts.

    • Able to sit, stand or walk for long/short periods of time.
    • Able to work in a small, confined area.
    • Able to push and/or pull.
    • Able to bend at the waist and knees for long periods of time.
    • Ability to tolerate a wide range of climate and temperature variations (0-140 degrees) in order to work indoors and out, in all seasons and weather conditions.
    • Able to maintain good personal hygiene and report in a clean costume.
    • Able to get along with other employees to work out problems and resolve conflicts.
    • Able to work cooperatively with others.
    • Able to comprehend instructions and retain information.
    • Able to learn additional ticketing system functions.
    • Ability to move about and react quickly in emergency situations.
    • Able to maintain dependable work attendance and flexibility with assigned work schedules including any required overtime, evenings, weekends and holidays.
    • Able to tolerate a fast-paced, hectic environment.
    • Able to tolerate detergents and chemicals.
    • Able to be flexible to handle frequent changes in priorities.
    • Able to prioritize tasks and complete assignments on time
    • Able to lift 50 lbs.
    • Must be willing to perform other work functions as assigned.
    • Able to work outdoors.

     

     

    Required Experience

     

    EDUCATIONAL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

     

    • Must be at least 16 years of age.
    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Demonstrated computer skills with the ability to learn a POS system.
