    JOB DESCRIPTION

    This position will be responsible for receiving raw materials, supplies and other items from vendors and suppliers. They will also be responsible for storing and loading the manufactured goods and preparing shipments to customers, while also maintaining the warehouse.

     

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES ARE, BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

    • Store manufactured goods in warehouse according to GMP’s/ FIFO
    • Properly load and unload materials to prevent damage
    • Examine outgoing shipments to ensure they meet specifications
    • Receives goods and verifies the quality and count of all items unloaded from trucks and trailers; checks against suppliers count and immediately reports discrepancies to carriers, supervisors, and purchasing officer per company policy.
    • Supplies production with materials as needed.
    • Examines contents and compares with records, such as manifests, invoices, bill of lading, or orders to verify accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipment
    • Notifies supervisor of major discrepancies, over-shipments, or substitutions.
    • Operation/maintenance of stretch wrapper, forklift trucks, pallet jacks, box clamp, and roll clamp to load and unload roll stock materials from trailers into the warehouse/staging area
    • Assists other departments as needed.
    • Performs other related duties as assigned

     

    REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:

    • Ability to follow directions and work well in a team environment.

    • Ability to accurately sort, count, and verify items received.

    • Ability to operate material handling equipment (pallet jack, forklift) efficiently and safely (including charging and maintenance of propane/batteries – performance of daily PM checklist).

    • Ability to work under minimal supervision.

    • Basic understanding of warehouse procedures.

    • Must know paperwork documentation procedures for movement of materials and be able to complete the forms efficiently and accurately.

    • Good organizational skills and attention to detail.

    • Knowledge of use with Microsoft Office, SAP to maintain records and input data.

    • Basic computer and data entry skills.

    • Good attendance

    • Comply with company policies, procedures, rules and regulations

    EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

    • High School Diploma preferred, technical school education, or equivalent.
    • Two or more years working in a warehouse/manufacturing environment in the shipping and receiving department
    • Training / Certified in forklift and clamp truck safe operating procedures.

     

     

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

    • Work is completed in an assembly environment, high speed equipment, forklift equipment.
    • Frequent exposure to noise; hearing protection is provided.
    • Frequent standing and walking on concrete surface.
    • Frequent squatting, bending, twisting, and crawling on/under equipment.
    • Frequent climbing using ladder and platforms.
    • Must be able to work alone on a regular basis.
    • Frequent lifting up to 50 lbs.
    • Frequent pushing/pulling.
    • Frequent operation of a forklift.
