    Columbus Specialty Surgery Center is seeking a motivated OR Registered Nurse to join our team. Columbus Specialty Surgery Center is a fast-paced ASC environment committed to producing the highest quality work and experience for patients and their families.

    Job Summary

    The OR Circulating RN is a Registered Nurse that provides nursing care and service during surgery cases. The RN will be responsible for positioning the patient, prepping the patient, and circulating the case. Experienced in surgical procedures in the following specialties: Orthopedics, ENT, Ophthalmology, Pain, Plastic, Podiatry.

    Ideal candidate will be focused on excellent customer service, have the ability to multi-task, the ability to show flexibility in assignments, maintain scrupulous infection control standards, maintain professional competencies and have the ability to work as part of an interdependent multidisciplinary team.

    Position requires weekdays only -- no holidays, weekends, or call. Some later evenings required.

    Required Skills

    • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
    • Currently Indiana Nursing License
    • Current BLS, ACLS an PALS required
    • One year experience required intra-operative setting
    • Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient
    • Understands principals of aseptic technique and implementation
    • Ability to care for patients from infancy to geriatrics
    • Knowledge base to recognize, evaluate, solve problems and correct errors.
    • Demonstrates clinical competency, leadership, and teaching capabilities.
    • Demonstrates strong professional and ethical behavior
    • Physically and emotionally capable of performing responsibilities of position.
    • Be receptive to change
    • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, physicians and fellow employees. (TEAMWORK)

    Required Experience

    Ambulatory Surgery Center: 1 year (Preferred)

    Intra-Operative: 1 year (Required)

  • Qualifications
