  • Responsibilities

    The Contract Analyst reports directly to the Director, Contract Administration. The Contract Analyst supports the organization in the development of contracts, working closely with the Information Solutions, Purchasing and Finance Departments. The Contract Analyst assists with the creation of purchase orders and processing of Information Solutions related invoices. He/she monitors and reports on procurement as well as invoice and contract status, and works closely with departments to ensure contracted goods and services are budgeted appropriately. The Contract Analyst has a working knowledge of contracting concepts and ensures contracts adhere to PIH Health’s contracting guidelines. Use of independent judgment and critical thinking applied to resolve contract issues. This is a non-exempt position.

    Required Skills

    • Working knowledge of contracting concepts
    • Familiarity with accounting procedures, budgetary skills, analytical skills to collect and research budget variances
    • Problem solving to identify and resolve problems in a timely matter
    • Oral and written communication skills, ability to demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness
    • Exhibit sound and accurate judgment, uses time efficiently, reacts well under pressure, treats others with respect and consideration regardless of their status or position.

    • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.

    Required Experience

    • Experience with contracting principles, preferably in a healthcare setting
    • Experience with accounts payable processing, preferably in a healthcare setting
    • Experience in a hospital/healthcare setting
    • Advanced level skills with Microsoft Word and Excel

    Preferred:

    • Bachelor’s degree, specializing in business administration, healthcare management, or similar areas
    • Minimum two years’ experience with contracting principles, preferably in a healthcare setting
    • Minimum two years’ experience with accounts payable processing; preferably in a healthcare setting
    • Experience dealing with senior level executives
