  • Responsibilities

    Under the supervision of the Medi-cal/Managed Care/Data Control Supervisor, this position is responsible for accurate and timely posting of payments/remittance advices to patient and general ledger accounts. The Lead is responsible for ensuring the effective workflow of his/her assigned area and prioritizing job duties. They perform all tasks efficiently and accurately. Engages in performance improvement activities as needed and serves as a communication facilitator for area of responsibility. Prepares and completes All Payer contractual adjustments according to All Payer remittance advices/EOB/s ERA’s. Accurately executes and balances all other electronic remittances posting jobs to patient accounts. Meet and exceed the minimum productivity volume, and standards of work as defined within the departmental policies and procedures. Responsible for updating Patient Account related errors/entries including charge capture issues including charge corrections or transfers in AM&MS4&SFM identified by various departments. This position will oversee duties and tasks for all 3 PIH facilities: Whittier, Downey, and Good Samaritan.

    Required Experience

    Required:

    • High school diploma or GED
    • Minimum 2 years of experience in a hospital or business office experience
    • 1 to 2 years data entry or keypunch experience
    • Must be able to handle self in a mature, dependable, conscientious, and honest manner.
