OR RN Internship Program
Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Uptown is a state of the art surgical hospital located in the Dallas Uptown neighborhood. Recognized as a Joint Commission Center of Excellence for Total Hip/Total Knee replacement and spine surgery, our other specialties include: orthopedics/ortho oncology, sports medicine, general surgery/robotics/oncology, bariatric, breast oncology/reconstruction, cosmetic and reconstructive plastic surgery, pain management and ENT.
As a member of our healthcare team you are an employee of United Surgical Partners International (USPI), the largest ambulatory surgery platform in the country. BSW-Uptown is seeking motivated, high-energy candidates for our February 2022 OR RN Internship Program. The program is geared toward new graduates with a strong interest in Perioperative nursing as well as experienced RN’s with the goal of becoming a perioperative RN.
The Internship is a paid, full-time, blended learning program utilizing the AORN PeriOp 101 Core Curriculum. The curriculum includes interactive online modules, textbook content, technique videos and study guides, plus hands-on skills labs, group activities, and a clinical practicum. The program prepares the RN to develop and implement an individualized plan of care based on global assessment, surgical procedure, surgeon preferences and desired patient outcomes.
