    Administrative Assistant- Full Time

    North State Surgery Centers LP , dba Mercy Surgery Center and Court Street Surgery Center, in Redding, CA, are muti-specialty surgery centers.     We are part of United Surgical Partners International (USPI). USPI owns and operates multiple surgical hospitals and ambulatory surgical care centers throughout the United States.

    North State Surgery Centers is currently seeking an Administrative Assistant in the Business Office Department for full time opportunities. The Administrative Assistant will provide support and back up for personnel by performing duties to include the following;

    • Responsible for performing administrative duties that require discretion and independent judgment,
    • Understanding USPI’s Mission and USPI’s EDGE, and completing daily responsibilities in accordance with the standards outlined in each.
    • Typing correspondence, reports, contracts, agreements and various specialized documents.
    • Answer incoming phones for Administration.
    • Maintaining the confidentiality and security of sensitive, privileged credentialing communications and work product.
    • Organizing and maintain filing systems.
    • Making meeting arrangements and maintaining calendar for facility Officers.
    • Maintaining positive relationships with physicians and corporate personnel.
    • Take (type) meeting minutes for Administration, clinical operations and other administrative meetings.
    • Set up, follow up and prepare reports for equipment and building Preventative Maintenance .
    • Additional responsibilities as assigned by the Admin

    • High school education and/or equivalent required
    • Associate degree preferred
    • 2-3 years of related experience (or training) as a secretary or administrative assistant; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Hourly Wage: $25 to $30 an hour

    Required Experience

    Position qualifications and requirements for the Administrative Assistant include:

    • Ability to type 60 words per minute with 85% accuracy
    • Ability to read and comprehend complex instructions, business correspondence and memos.
    • Ability to write complex correspondence.
    • Ability to effectively present information in group situations to patients, physicians and other employees of the organization.
    • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
    • Ability to utilize Electronic Health Care Record for patient documentation.
    • Understanding of payroll systems and staffing coordination highly desirable
    • Strong skills in Microsoft suite products including excel and access to create professional reports
