    PIH Health is a nonprofit, regional healthcare network that serves approximately 3 million residents in the Los Angeles County, Orange County and San Gabriel Valley region. The fully integrated network is comprised of PIH Health Hospital - Whittier, PIH Health Hospital - Downey and PIH Health Good Samaritan Hospital, 27 outpatient medical locations, a multi-specialty medical (physician) group, home healthcare services and hospice care, as well as heart, cancer, women’s health, urgent care and emergency services.

     

    Provides clinical expertise and education/staff development for the NICU.  Collaborates with the NICU/Pediatrics Clinical Director to provide leadership working to improve the quality of patient care, strengthen the financial performance of the NICU and the Maternal-Child Care, and improve patient, physician, and employee satisfaction.

     

    Required Skills

    Required Skills:

    • Current California RN license
    • CNS/MSN in neonatal care required
    • Five years clinical experience
    • Experience in neonatal intensive care, triaging high-risk delivery stabilization, and transport of critically ill neonates.
    • Certification in Neonatal Resuscitation knowledgeable in the principles of nd CPR
    • Knowledgeable in the principles of adult learning

     

    Skills Needed:

    • Demonstrate expertise in neonatal intensive care: assessment, intervention, and management 
    • Develop lesson plans and provide staff development and training
    • Ability to promote team-building amount a multidisciplinary treatment team
    • Strong interpersonal communication skills, written and verbal, computer skills
    • Ability to analyze various sources of outcome data
