    USPI SHORELINE SURGERY CENTER, is seeking a motivated MEDICAL ASSISTANT to join our team. _Shoreline Surgery Center _is a fast paced ASC environment committed to producing the highest quality work and experience for patients and their families. 

    The Medical Assistant provides direct patient care by assisting patients, changing linens, ambulation, and transport.  Obtains and records patient vital signs,  provides nutritional intake and reports results and observations. Demonstrates the primary goal of efficiently providing surgical services that exceed customer expectations and improve clinical and financial operations.  Assists in maintenance of a safe and clean environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit.

    Required Skills

    • CPR Certified
    • One year experience directly related to duties and responsibilities specified is preferred
    • Knowledge of patient care charts and patient histories
    • Patient Interviewing skills
    • Ability to perform standard clinical procedures according to established protocols
    • Knowledge of patient evaluation procedures
    • Ability to perform routine EKG
    • Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards
    • Ability to adapt to change quickly, strong knowledge base relative to surgery procedures and management of the surgical patient
    • Understands principles of aseptic technique and their implementation

    Required Experience
