FULL JOB DESCRIPTION

At BFS, the Product Information Management (PIM) Specialist is accountable for management of product data in our eCommerce and ERP platforms.  They will maintain item continuity and quality inside of the PIM system, as well as directing and coordinating procedures that will ensure produces accurate information while at the same time gaining operational efficiency. Works with manufacturers and suppliers gathering product information, manipulating data, working spreadsheets, and coordinating with the user of the data. 

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Ensure the accuracy of all product content within the product information management (PIM) tool, including key data fields, attributes, product descriptions, images, and documents needed to support the various sales and operational departments.
2. Strong understanding of data source, transformations, including caveats for unique product data requirements, categories, and datasets.
3. Creates, reviews, and approves product master change request to ensure accuracy of data attributes.
4. Manages data requests in support of business processes, new product sales initiatives, and M&A (Mergers and Acquisitions) in accordance with defined standards and data governance practices.
5. Reports KPIs related to material master data management and drives a system of actions to complete requests in accordance with SLA’s (service level agreements).
6. Identifies opportunities to gain efficiencies, automate, and improve data quality.
7. Perform data integrity audits as required to maintain a high-quality dataset.
8. Maintain close working relationship with operations, pricing, Senior Buyers, and various other levels of leadership.
9. Participate as subject matter expert in projects/meeting to determine immediate or future data management or reporting needs.

Required Skills

REQUIRED SKILLS:

1. Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, IT and/or other related field with a minimum of (2) years of experience managing data.
2. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with moderate skills in Excel.
3. Working knowledge of relational databases.
4. Proficient in data management best practices
5. Excellent customer service, verbal and written communication, and project management skills.
6. Strong attention to details and data accuracy.
7. Organizational and technical skills.

Required Experience

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

1. Minimum Experience: 2 years of data management experience.

REQUIRED SKILLS:
