  • Responsibilities

    North State Surgery Center's in Redding CA Pre-Assessment LVN 

    It is the responsibility of the Pre -Assessment Nurse to ensure all pre-procedure information is complete and placed in the patient's chart prior to the start of the procedure/surgery. The Nurse is responsible for contacting the Physician for patient orders. The nurse will contact patient regarding their physical and medical history. The Nurse will ensure all consents are authorized and placed in the patients' chart

    Required Skills

      • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing 

        • Must have a CA LVN license
        • Must have CPR Certificate
        • Pre assessment experience preferred
        • Ability to recognize, evaluates, solve problems and correct errors.
        • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, hospital staff, physicians, vendors and the public.
        • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
        • Demonstrates accountability, professionalism, openness, receptive to change, creativity and innovative.
        • Excellent communication skills
        • Ability to adapt to change quickly, strong knowledge base relative to surgery procedures and management of the surgical patient
        • Understands principles of aseptic technique and their implementation
        • Ability to care for patients from infancy to geriatrics
        • Excellent teaching skills

         

        Basic knowledge of Performance Improvement ideology
