    JOB SUMMARY:

    The Parking and Transportation Supervisor is responsible for supervising all aspects of parking and transportation, including budgeting, hiring, training, supervising, developing and evaluating Team Leads, Safety Trainers and Hosts. The Parking and Transportation Supervisor is responsible for achieving safety, friendliness, cleanliness, linespeed/throughput and financial goals, as well as serving as the PIC of the Operations Team. The Parking and Transportation Supervisor is a training position. As such, it is required that the skills and performance are evaluated as being eligible for promotion. If performance does not fit that profile, the opportunity will be given to interview for other open positions within the Dollywood Company, with no guarantee of placement. All of this will be done in a manner consistent with the mission, values, operating philosophies and standards of the Dollywood Company.

    SUMMARY OF MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Ownership of area of responsibility with respect to P&L, business planning, budgeting and forecasting activities. Participates in period-end P&L meetings and prepares action plans for improvement as necessary.
    • Develops and executes action plans to address business shortfalls and/or enhance operation capacities/guest satisfaction.
    • Develop and prepare written training manuals including sales, accounting procedures, research and database programs, meet the FMCSA and DOT standards for Trolley Operations.
    • Evaluate operational efficiency by capturing success/learning that is accurate and timely in order to guide future decisions for improving operations.
    • Monitor all areas of parking and transportation for procedure compliance and applicable regulatory compliance. Coordinating actions with partners in Human Resources, Safety and Maintenance Teams, in addition to reviewing DOT and FMCSA regulations prior to making operational procedure changes.
    • Leads safety efforts within the parking and transportation teams. Implementing Dollywood Safety Procedures to include development and enforcement of Safety Standards, Training Procedures and Emergency Procedures. Certify as a Safety Trainer in areas of responsibility.
    • Identify and communicate staffing needs; interviewing, hiring, and ensuring smooth onboarding process.
    • Identify, hire and develop new leadership; to include Team Leads, Safety Trainers, and Hosts.
    • Participate in cross training and support of Operations Team objectives, to include functioning in the role of Person in Charge for the Operations Team.
    • Ensures high level of guest service at all touch points. Leading and evaluating all Hosts, in addition to guiding teams to exceed expectations resulting in guest loyalty and increased demand for premier product offerings.
    • Monitor cash handling procedures to ensure alignment and accountability.
    • Maintain flexibility in working days, hours, locations, and properties.
    • Perform additional duties and make decisions as requested.
    • Leads direct reports by educating, coaching, empowering, and providing feedback to ensure accountability for individual results.

    • Able to climb evacuation steps and maintain good balance.
    • Able to ride all rides/attractions which require a physical ride through inspection.
    • Able to operate/drive company vehicles and have a valid driver’s license with proof of auto liability insurance.
    • Able to wear all PPE as required.
    • Able to tolerate all chemicals/detergents utilized in the area.
    • Able to be subjected to periodic random drug screening as outlined by company policy.
    • Able to remain attentive and alert at all times.
    • Able to memorize written safety standards and/or scripts.
    • Able to speak clearly to include the use of PA systems and two-way radios.
    • Good written and verbal communication skills.  Must be able to write reports with clear and concise wording.
    • Strong organizational skills to be able to coordinate multiple tasks.

    Required Experience

    EDUCATIONAL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

    • Must be at least 21 years of age and have a valid driver’s license with proof of auto liability
    • Must be able to acquire Class C CDL with passenger endorsement within one year of being
    • High School diploma or equivalent required. Associates or Bachelor’s Degree, P
    • Successful completion of a background check, credit check and drug
    • 5 years of experience supervising 10 or more people in the theme park/hospitality industry, Preferred.
    • 3 year of experience supervising 50 or more people in parking/transportation operations for a theme park/gated property, Preferred.
    • 2 years motivating and coaching co-workers and employees.
    • Experience working with computers and computer software, especially Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Previous working experience where safety compliance and customer satisfaction are a high priority.
