    THIS IS A PART-TIME (ON-CALL) SEASONAL POSITION.

    THIS POSITION BEGINS 09/2022 AND ENDS 10/19/2022.

    SUMMARY: The Stage Manager position is responsible for performing daily duties specifically associated with the recruitment of personnel and the daily and nightly operations for the Pumpkins in the City Event. In addition, the Stage Manager will make informative decisions regarding safety, scheduling, costume assignments and repairs, event logistics, and covering the absence of key personnel.

    MUST BE AT LEAST 18 YEARS OF AGE.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (Other duties may be assigned)

    • Disseminates general info about production. 
    • Engages in set construction and or assembly to include the lighting of the show. 
    • Oversees performers, tech, and ushers throughout the run of the show. 
    • Operates as the first line of management to both guests and employees. 
    • Contributes to direct reports annual review and communicates final results.
    • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
    • Attention to detail, responds promptly to customer needs, and upholds organizational values.
    • Follows policies and procedures, and reports unsafe conditions.
    • Follows written and verbal instructions.
    • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
    • Thinks clearly and reacts quickly and calmly in stressful situations.
    • Makes and adjusts schedules.

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Directly supervises numerous employees in Entertainment.

    Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the company's policies and procedures, including:

    • Works with direct Supervisor.
    • Interviews, hires, and trains employees.
    • Plans, assigns, and directs work.
    • Appraises performance; Rewards and disciplines employees.
    • Addresses complaints and resolves problems.

    QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.     • Considerable knowledge of accepted concepts and practices concerned with theatre.
    • Able to communicate efficiently.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

    • The ability to lift and/or move 45 pounds frequently to 75 pounds maximum
    • The ability to stand and walk on uneven terrain, inclines, asphalt, and concrete continuously
    • The ability to crawl, climb, and balance occasionally
    • The ability to remember locations, understand and carry out instructions frequently
    • The ability to work in extreme weather occasionally

    Required Experience

    • Previous experience including theme park, theatre, and amateur productions is preferred.
    • Formal training acquired through college is preferred.
