    Broadbands Family Practice Physical therapy is seeking an Experienced Physical Therapist to join our outpatient clinic in Ashburn VA. 

    Our Physical Therapist combine EVIDENCE BASED PHYSICAL THERAPY PRACTICE PHILOSOPHIES along with ONSITE PATIENT INFORMATION AND IMAGING STUDIES to ensure the best clinical outcomes for our patients. We are searching for COMPASSIONATE, FORWARD-THINKING Physical Therapist who OPTIMIZE PATIENT-CENTERED DIAGNOSIS by assessing strengths and weaknesses to devise effective TEAM-BASED TREATMENT PLANS in accordance with the physician’s orders. We are searching for Physical Therapist that are EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATORS and have STRONG INTERPERSONAL SKILLS who want to be part of a COLLABORATIVE TEAM.  We are searching clinicians that want to join a team that is improving the health and well-being of our patients by advocating injury prevention, exercise, nutrition and complete wellness.

    JOB DUTIES INCLUDE (BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO):

    • The Physical Therapist /PT perform initial and ongoing physical therapy evaluations.
    • Experience in outpatient orthopedics preferred but not required.
    • The Physical Therapist/ PT will evaluate, develop and administer detailed treatment programs with specific goals defined by the patient’s capacity and tolerance and in accordance with the physician’s orders.
    • Educate patients about the bio-mechanics of their body’s natural movement to prevent additional injury and to promote wellness.
    • Communicate with physicians, team members and patients to ensure a consistent level of care and improved quality of life.
    • Perform daily documentation.
    • AT LEAST 2 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE AS A LICENSED PHYSICAL THERAPIST.

    REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:                     

    • Current state license or actively in the application process.
    • Current CPR certification.
    • Must have graduated from an accredited physical therapy program.
    • Authorized to work in the United States.

    Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

    a) Effectively organizes time, equipment, supplies, and personnel b) Uses equipment effectively by anticipating patient needs and providing appropriate care c) Confirms that proper techniques and procedures are used according to accepted standards of practice d) Assists in inventory of supplies, drugs, and equipment to maintain availability and stock levels in the Pre-Operative area e) Maintains order and cleanliness of Pre-Operative area f) Performs thorough Pre-Operative patient assessment required in the outpatient setting g) Assists in assessing the physical and emotional status of the patient prior to admission h) Provides Pre-Operative instruction and explanation of patient rights and responsibilities i) Describes the perioperative experience to the patient/significant other, including what to expect before, during, and after the procedure, and how the significant other will participate j) Obtains pertinent patient records prior to patient’s arrival for Pre-Operative testing k) Performs all Pre-Operative testing (i.e., laboratory work, electrocardiogram, x-rays, etc.) l) Reports all abnormal values to anesthesiologist/attending surgeon m) Explains informed consent for surgery, patients’ rights/responsibilities, and Pre-Operative/postoperative instructions n) Obtains necessary signatures o) Informs patient about routine care and procedures related to the perioperative experience p) Discusses all findings with anesthesiologist prior to anesthesiologist’s Pre-Operative evaluation of patient q) Provides comfort and reassurance to the patient and supports the patient’s right to privacy, dignity, and confidentiality r) Documents Pre-Operative care according to policy/procedure
