  • Responsibilities

    Medical Records Representative is responsible for assembling and maintaining patient’s health information in medical records and charts. Ensures all paper and electronic records are complete, properly identified and signed. Copies, retrieves and tracks medical records request. Assembles charts for peer reviews and conducts chart audits on a daily basis. Responsible for tracking dictations to assure all cases are dictated and follow up should be made with physicians regarding missing dictation of cases.

    Required Skills

    Position Requirements: Minimum 2 years of hospital/ ASC  medical records experience required.

    • Knowledge of AAAHC Standards
    • Ability to use time wisely in preparing work area to meet high-paced demand.
    • Show a genuine desire to work and improve the center as a whole.
    • Must be detail oriented.
    • Must be able to communicate verbally and non-verbally in a professional manner.
    • Must be able to adhere to facility's financial and admitting policies.
    • Ability to promote positive relationships with patients and staff.
    • Must know insurance verification and collection processes.
    • Must have problem solving and decision making skills.
    • Professional appearance.
    • Must demonstrate excellent phone etiquette and exceptional customer service skills.
