    The QM DATA ANALYST will be responsible for supporting data analysis and reporting needs using various databases and information resources in support of healthcare delivery. This position will compile, verify, analyze, track and trend data related to quality management and risk adjustment activity. Serves as a liaison for both external and internal quality management and performance improvement data.  Works closely with a variety of personnel, including data analysts, clinicians, managers, IS, and reporting vendors. This is a non-exempt position and will report to the Director of Quality Management.

    Required Skills

    • Advanced excel skills including data consolidation, macros, matching, merging and pivot tables.
    • Ability to perform data analysis and compose appropriate reports.
    • Proven skills in report writing and report development. Dashboard development skills a plus.
    • Proven skills with data presentation including charts, graphs and other exhibits.
    • Knowledge of Electronic Health Record (EHR) computerized, practice management or related systems.
    • Ability to read and interpret technical bulletins and software documentation, write technical manuals, data dictionaries, reports and procedures
    • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written skills with the ability to communicate technical issues to non-technical audiences and ascertain user needs.
    • Candidate must be able to handle multiple priorities in a fast paced environment.

    Required Experience

    REQUIRED:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in healthcare related discipline or combination of other appropriate college level education with five (5) or more years of quality data analysis and reporting experience.
    • Three (3+) or more years of experience with analysis and reporting of healthcare data in a managed care environment.
    • Knowledge of healthcare reimbursement and Pay for Performance programs (HEDIS, P4P, CMS Stars and CMS HCC)

     

    PREFERRED:

    • Experience with provider coding practices using Current Procedural Terminology (CPT), International Statistical Classification of Diseases (ICD)-9 and ICD-10 codes.
    • Familiarity with quality management and risk adjustment models as well as process to collect, aggregate and compile all related Performance Improvement metrics
    • Knowledge of healthcare reimbursement and Pay for Performance programs (HEDIS, P4P, CMS Stars and CMS HCC)
    • SQL experience
