    The Materials Manager is responsible for the procurement of all supplies in the Hospital. The responsibilities of the position include ordering and receiving of supplies, stocking supplies, communicating and coordinating with vendors, managing and maintaining inventory and assisting Accounts Payable with invoice packets. We are looking for a highly motivated, energetic person.

    Position requires weekdays only -- no holidays, weekends, or call. Competitive salary and benefits for the right candidate.

    Required Skills

    Position Requirements:

    • High school graduate or equivalent required
    • Two years minimum receiving and inventory experience in a health care environment preferred.
    • Computer experience required (Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word and Excel preferred)
    • Able to deal tactfully with public and other staff members
    • Must possess the ability to prioritize responsibilities and handle multiple projects simultaneously
    • Ability to work in a clean and sterile environment
    • Ability to forecast supply needs and communicate order shortages
    • Ability to organize order flow and categorize order volume to reduce redundancies as well as ensure we purchase at par value
    • Experience in pulling cases and reading preference cards
    • Knowledge of surgery equipment and surgical tools
    • Experience as an OR Tech is preferred
    • Experience with interacting with physicians
    • Experience with ordering supplies and implants for a range of medical specialties
    • Strong leadership skills in a high learning environment

    Required Experience

    Qualifications:

    · High school graduate; Bachelor’s Degree is preferred

    · 2 years' experience in related field and/or health care facility.

    · Experience in healthcare materials management or an Operating Room setting is preferred, but not necessary.
