Radiology Technologist at Baylor Scott & White Surgical Hospital Fort Worth:
- The Radiology Technologist operates X-ray equipment, C-ARMS, XI-SCAN, prepares patient’s room, equipment, supplies and medications.
- Provides patient services using imaging modalities.
- Practices proper radiation safety techniques on all exams preformed.
- Performs all Quality control checks, as prescribed.
- Maintains accurate QC logs, service records, etc.
- Performs highest quality imaging consistent with prescribed examination: documents and deviation.
- Practices medical and surgical aseptic procedures
- Investigates promptly and follows up on unusual incidents and communicates with Director.
- Takes emergency call as assigned.

- Current & Active Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) General License

- Two to five years’ experience specific to surgical/diagnostic radiological exam
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Demonstrates responsibility for the care and safety of patients undergoing treatment and use of equipment to minimize hazards of electric shock, burns and extraneous radiation to patients.
- Demonstrates ability to assess data, prioritize care, and plan interventions dependent on the age group of the population served.
- Demonstrates ability to discuss treatment/service and to provide education information to patients/families in age group served.
- Ability to utilize Electronic Healthcare Record for patient documentation.
