  • Responsibilities

    POSITION SUMMARY: 

    Vallen’s Storeroom Crib Attendant is an individual contributor positioned within a customer’s location to fulfil daily receiving, stocking, issuing, and cycle counting of customer and/or Vallen inventory.   They are responsible for maintaining a professional, clean and organized work environment.

     

     

    • Issues tools and equipment to workers and maintains records of tools and equipment issued and returned.
    • Locates lost or misplaced tools and equipment.
    • Prepares periodic inventory or maintains perpetual inventory of tools and equipment.
    • Receives, unpacks, and stores incoming tools and equipment, and requisitions stock to replenish inventory.
    • Inspects and measures tools and equipment for defects and wear and reports damage or wear to supervisors.
    • Repairs, services, and lubricates tools and equipment.
    • Delivers tools or equipment to workers.
    • Marks and identifies tools and equipment.

     

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Must have excellent customer service skills
    • Must have good communication skills
    • Experience handling and counting inventory is desired
    • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
    • Strong attention to detail is necessary
    • Must be able to operate a computer with the ability to learn new software
    • Forklift experience. Mostly doing receiving and unloading truck

    SPECIFIC SKILLS NEEDED

     

    Demonstrates expertise in communication: able to work with team members, hospitalists, specialists, nursing directors, and hospital departments to effectively facilitate the care of patients by rounding on critically ill patients.

    • Provides patient care in a manner consistent with Group standards, medical staff by-laws, pathways/best practices
    • Knowledgeable regarding an Intensivist scope of practice.
    • Demonstrated leadership abilities.
    • Excellent customer service skills.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal and conflict resolution abilities.
    • Ability to perform common Intensive Care Unit procedures such as intubations, bedside tracheostomies, thorocostomy tubes, central line placement and arterial lines.
    • Complex care management, to include end of life discussions and planning, code status assessment and documentation. Comfort care, Utilization and Bioethics discussion.
