New Salem Surgery Center prides itself on providing excellence in patient care at every encounter.  Our center performs a broad range of outpatient surgical procedures. We are searching for an experienced and conscientious GI Technician to work part-time at our center.  A gastrointestinal technician (GI) assists our nurses or doctors with various GI procedures. The technician also performs tool and equipment maintenance.

Required Skills

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Minimum three years' of previous GI, endoscopy, surgery or related field.
• Must have the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment.
• Physically and emotionally capable of performing responsibilities of position.
• General familiarity with medical terminology as it relates to anatomy and endoscopy procedures.
• Demonstrates ability to work as a team member and to communicate directly and professionally.
• Must be flexible, reliable, productive, patient-oriented, and self-motivated.
