    New Salem Surgery Center prides itself on providing excellence in patient care at every encounter.  Our center performs a broad range of outpatient surgical procedures. Our mission is to care for every patient and their family as if they were our own. Each patient, each family, each and every time.

    We are searching for an experienced and conscientious GI Technician to work part-time at our center.  A gastrointestinal technician (GI) assists our nurses or doctors with various GI procedures. The technician also performs tool and equipment maintenance.

    Required Skills

    • High school graduate or equivalent.
    • Minimum three years' of previous GI, endoscopy, surgery or related field.
    • Must have the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment.
    • Physically and emotionally capable of performing responsibilities of position.
    • General familiarity with medical terminology as it relates to anatomy and endoscopy procedures.
    • Demonstrates ability to work as a team member and to communicate directly and professionally.
    • Must be flexible, reliable, productive, patient-oriented, and self-motivated.

    USPI complies with federal, state, and/or local laws regarding mandatory vaccination of its workforce. If you are offered this position and must be vaccinated under any applicable law, you will be required to show proof of full vaccination or obtain an approval of a religious or medical exemption prior to your start date. If you receive an exemption from the vaccination requirement, you will be required to submit to regular testing in accordance with the law.
