    JOB DESCRIPTION:

     

    The Director of EHR Systems (Electronic Health Records) is responsible for compiling and reporting protocol activity, accrual data, and research financial information to administration. Incumbent serves as a resource to Administration, the Medical Staff and other departments.

     

     

    Required Skills

    REQUIRED SKILLS:

     

    • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science preferred
    • BLS required
    • Independent decision making skills.
    • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects.
    • Excellent communication skills with staff and physicians.
    • Process management experience preferred.
    • Must have extensive CERNER experience.
    • Detailed knowledge of hospital organizations, committees, department functions, and performance improvement activities.
    • Effective communication, organizational and leadership skills, independent decision-making, and ability to handle multiple projects.
    • Strong interpersonal skills.
    • Working knowledge of JCAHO, Medicare, and TDSHS standards.
    • Working knowledge of the developmental needs of pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.
    • Excellent computer skills
    • Working knowledge in areas of patient care practices, microbiology, asepsis, disinfection/sterilization, adult education, infectious diseases, communication, program administration and epidemiology.
    • Ability to research and collect data for reporting purposes.
