Job Description:

We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Insurance Verifier to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and completeness of insurance information, helping to facilitate seamless patient care and billing processes. This in-person position requires a keen attention to detail, exceptional organizational skills, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of patient service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits for scheduled procedures.
• Accurately enter insurance information into the system and maintain up-to-date records.
• Communicate with insurance companies to resolve discrepancies and obtain necessary authorizations.
• Collaborate with the billing department to ensure correct patient billing and reimbursement.
• Provide clear and courteous communication with patients regarding their insurance coverage and financial responsibilities.
• Assist in identifying and correcting any errors in insurance claims and billing processes.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.

Required Skills

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certification in healthcare administration or a related field is a plus.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in insurance verification, within a medical environment.
• Demonstrated longevity in previous roles; we value candidates with a stable work history.
• Strong knowledge of insurance policies, procedures, and medical terminology.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in computer systems and healthcare software applications.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
