Receptionist
• Interfaces with visitors, patients, family, and physicians over the phone and in person with a high level of professionalism and customer service. • Responsible for assisting with admission and check-in of patients as well as visitors. • Operates telephone system including receiving incoming calls, taking messages, identify nature of business and call. • Provide relief to other areas of the ASC as needed. • Performs clerical duties and other administrative duties as assigned. • Completes required screening paperwork for patients and visitors. Maintains record of screening forms. • Utilize touch free and tympanic thermometers according to IC policies and manufacturer’s instructions for use.
Required Skills
• High School Diploma or equivalent. • One year prior experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience. • Good communication and people skills. • Great attention to detail. • Ability to multitask. • Work independently with minimal supervision. • Excellent telephone skills with the ability to screen incoming calls, and adequately respond to telephone inquiries. • Maintains patient confidentiality at all times.
