Key Responsibilities • Responsible for assisting the CDC Manager in keeping a Safe, efficient, and accurate flow of order processing and warehouse functions. • Establish, maintain, arrange designated work areas as needed. Ensure proper working conditions of work areas, grounds, trucks, tools, fixtures, and equipment; arrange for repairs/replacements as needed. • Establish and maintain inventory control systems for all raw and finished materials; help to maintain accurate inventory levels at all times; communicate inventory discrepancies to appropriate levels of management. • Assist in the preparation of and/or conduct cycle time studies necessary to establish accurate KPI levels for reporting & overall productivity expectations. • Recommend tools, fixtures, equipment and/or layout changes to improve workflow, productivity, quality of consumer performances. Recommend improved methods, records, etc. to enhance quality and efficiency. • Extensive experience operating Material Handling Equipment (MHE) - stand up lifts, Bendy’s, order pickers, and sit-down propane forklifts to move and shift material on the warehouse floor, racking, and yard. • Monitor and provide for the quality assurance of the orders and delivery date deadlines necessary for each order. • Arrange for regular removal and recycling of appropriate production boxes, plastics, paper, etc. • Assist in managing consumable inventory levels which includes maintaining min/max levels. • Maintain a cohesive CDC team through setting clear expectations, measuring results, consistent/effective communication, (verbal, text, email, & teams chat), and lead by example. • Provide timely, candid feedback, hold people accountable along with training and assisting in supervising warehouse staff. • Ability to coach, mentor, and elevate team members to the productivity and accuracy expectations needed for a successful operation. • Oversee and assist with maintaining the security and safety of the warehouse • Communicate status of operation to management including any safety and/or process problems • Utilize an RF scanner to perform various system functions • Interact with salespersons, customers, vendors, and the rest of the team in the warehouse • Understand and communicate importance of operating within OSHA safety standards • Ability to work mandatory physical inventory • Ability to work inside/outside in hot or cold environment • Willingness to work extra hours • Perform other duties and tasks as needed upon request by management • Knowledgeable and proficient in Solar Eclipse Minimum work experience requirements: • 4+ years of experience in a Distribution Operations Lead role. Any or all of the following Operations: receiving, shipping, order picking, inventory cycle counting, wire cutting. • 2+ years of Operations Supervisory experience of Leads and supporting teams • MS Office proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) • Equivalent combination of education and experience • Basic reading, writing, and math skills required • Manual agility required for operating machinery and handling small parts • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds several times per day • Must wear required PPE (Safety-toed shoes) Other skills/experience desired:
· Directly facilitate and participate in ongoing process improvements using techniques such as 5S, Kaizen, and other lean tools · Certified to conduct and certify/re-certify MHE operators in safe and efficient operation of equipment. · Ability to create Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), audit processes, and improve work flows. · Strong relationship management skills · Possession of good sense of humor · Strong written and verbal communication skills · Strong creativity and critical thinking abilities · Ability to work with recent technological applications relating to daily tasks · Possess reliable problem-solving ability
