  • Responsibilities

    Responsible for performing high quality radiographs. He/she will strive to minimize patient wait time in the department and will do his/her best to educate patients/families about procedures being performed. Demonstrates the primary goal of efficiently providing radiological services in the surgical/cath lab environment that exceed customer expectations and improve clinical and financial operations.

    Required Skills

    1. Demonstrate the knowledge and competence to perform job assignment

    2.  Communicate effectively to perform patient care and work in team environment

    3.  Computer proficiency to operate RIS / PACS / HIS

    4.  Capable to multitask in a sterile environment

    5.  Good organizational skill set  

    6.  Little supervision needed to accomplish tasks

     

     

    • Required

    1.  Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology

    2.  Operating Room / Cath Lab / IR experience

    3.  Current ARRT / Texas Medical Board Licensure

    4.  CPR Certification

    1. Strong ethical and moral character references

     

    Preferred

    1.  Two years previous cath lab/interventional radiology as well as operating room experience

    Required Experience

    Duties

    1. Participates in development of Policies and Procedures within the department.
    2. Perform all radiographic procedures as written in Policy and Procedure Manual.
    3. Perform high quality radiology work in surgery and cath lab.
    4. Notify department director of equipment/machine malfunction.
    5. Adheres to Policies and Procedures as defined by Infection Control.
    6. Demonstrates knowledge of filing and logging in of x-rays.
    7. Demonstrates knowledge of reporting system of radiology findings to physician.
    8. Participates in Performance Improvement Plan.
    9. Serves as a resource to other members of the health care team.
    10. Act in accordance with the vision, mission, and business philosophy of the Hospital
    11. Maintain patient, physician, and employee privacy and confidentiality per policy.
    12. Follow the Hospital's professional conduct and dress code policy.
    13. Communicate effectively and courteously with visitors, physicians and their office staffs, patients and employees.
    14. Assists with other responsibilities of hospital as deemed necessary by management
