Pre-Op/PACU RN
Pre-Op/PACU RN-Full time- Providence Summit Surgery Center
Multi-specialty surgery center in Santa Clarita is seeking experienced RNs for pre-op and PACU Full Time positions; Monday –Friday, no holidays, no weekends, variable shifts.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate initiative, insight, and excellent clinical judgment in an ambulatory surgery setting by assessing, planning, evaluating, ensuring and implementing appropriate standards of patient and family-centric care to achieve optimum outcomes. The candidate would follow approved facility procedures to meet the requirements of pre-op admission and post-op discharge. The RN can expect to care for patients in age range from toddler to geriatric.
The pre-op RN may assume the following responsibilities: work with the nursing team to review and assess pre-op H&P, labs, medication and orders to determine appropriate admission to facility. Experienced and skilled at IV access. Provide pre-op teaching to patients and their families.
The PACU RN is skilled in airway management during the immediate post-op period. The PACU nurse assesses the patient for pain, bleeding and other effects of anesthesia and supports the patient and their family throughout recovery. We emphasize post-op teaching and we believe it is integral for optimum outcomes.
Additional job requirements:
Hourly Wage Range $58 to $63 an hour
Wages are determined based upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications and experience.
