    Job Description

     

    Crestwood Veterinary Hospital was opened in 1982 by Dr Jeff & Julie Willard as a 1.5 doctor practice.  We quickly grew to a 3-doctor practice.  In 1998 they built our current facility and changed the name to Crestwood Animal Hospital.  We are currently an 8-doctor practice with a team of 33 support staff that is continuing to grow.

    Crestwood Animal Hospital offers the most comprehensive, quality, caring veterinary services in the area. Our mission is “to consistently provide our patients with the highest quality veterinary medical and surgical care as well as create an atmosphere of compassion and comfort that allows clients to make the best decision for their animal companions.” Did you know we even treat the police dogs of the Oldham County Police Department?

    Our ideal candidate will have two years or more of veterinary reception experience, the ability to work both evenings and weekends, excellent phone and computer skills and a love of animals.

    RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

    • Greet patients, their pets, vendors, pharmaceutical representatives, and other visitors to our medical office
    • Educate clients on the importance of preventative care
    • Answer patient questions, provide assistance and directions when necessary
    • Field all phone calls and send emails
    • Utilize our medical office software to schedule new and follow-up appointments for our patients
    • Register new patients and update necessary records
    • Distribute forms and paperwork to patients and then check them over to ensure that required fields are completed appropriately
    • Process bills, invoices, and patient payments in office
    • Maintain confidentiality of all patient records
    • Ensure that the waiting room environment remains quiet, calm, organized and welcoming
    • Uphold the positive reputation of our medical office by always treating visitors in a friendly, welcoming, and compassionate manner
