Each of these goals is achieved through the implementation of United Way initiatives, or community-based programs operated by our agency partners and United Way of Dane County. Funds raised by United Way of Dane County remain local and are invested in 100+ programs at over 60 local nonprofits. Position Objectives: United Way of Dane County is seeking energetic and talented individuals to join a highly focused and successful development team for the 2022 Community Campaign. With guidance from development staff, a team of approximately 15-20 Campaign Fundraising Specialist - Loaned Executives will create and implement innovative fundraising strategies, volunteer engagement opportunities and top-of-the line cultivation and stewardship best practices to assist corporate partners in running successful workplace campaigns. As a Campaign Fundraising Specialist - Loaned Executive, you will be responsible for serving as the liaison between United Way of Dane County and organizations running workplace campaigns. You will support organization staff in raising the visibility of United Way throughout Dane County. Each Campaign Fundraising Specialist - Loaned Executive oversees a portfolio of approximately 20-35 accounts with assigned revenue and participation goals. This is a 17-week limited term assignment (July 27 to November 23, 2022) and pays $15/hour and does not include employee benefits. We continue to follow CDC guidelines as we navigate in person and hybrid workdays and events. Requirements Skills Preferred: Sales skills: including new account research, preparing, and conducting presentations and development of strategies to understand donor/company objectives and communicate the United Way story to CEOs, Employee Campaign Managers, and employee groups to grow participation and campaign donations. Project Management skills: including prioritizing, goal setting and projection maintenance using a computer database, time management, account management, plan implementation, resource utilization and campaign volunteer motivation. Goal and achievement orientation are a must. Technical Skills: including using Microsoft Office, Customer Relationship Management, social media, and video conferencing software/platforms. Communication skills: including the ability to engage and speak to a diverse audience. English/Spanish bilingual is a plus. Understanding of community dynamics: including the goals, objectives, and community impact role of United Way of Dane County, via the Agenda for Change. Responsibilities: Research each account and the account's potential to customize strategies for each account utilizing Best Practices. Develop and deliver presentations to diverse audiences informing them of the need for increased financial support of vital social services. In some cases, Campaign Fundraising Specialist - Loaned Executives will work with CEOs and Leadership Giving Managers to plan and implement special events to encourage new and continued support at the leadership giving level. Motivate and assist the company's Employee Campaign Manager with planning and conducting a successful campaign. Handle the administrative aspects of fundraising initiatives including required weekly updates and reports, closing of accounts, inputting data, notes and interactions in the CRM, returning United Way files and records for assigned accounts, and providing evaluations with recommendations for future growth opportunities. Achieve assigned dollar and participation goals by your professional interactions, effective follow-up, and timely collection of campaign pledges. Additional responsibilities include 1) conducting campaign training sessions for company volunteer; 2) facilitating the delivery of campaign materials; 3) presenting to various employee groups and coordinating agency tours and speakers; and 4) maintaining records for assigned accounts including detailed data and notes about campaign activities. A valid driver's license and access to a vehicle are preferred for Loaned Executives and they should be able to lift 30 pounds.
