Outreach Coordinator Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) PART TIME
J o b Summary: United Way of Forsyth County is seeking a dedicated Outreach Coordinator to play a crucial role in promoting and enrolling individuals in the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP). The ACP is a federal initiative designed to help eligible households access affordable internet services by providing monthly discounts of up to $30 for broadband services, with higher discounts of up to $75 available for households on qualifying Tribal lands. This program is administered by the Universal Service Administrative Company (USAC) with oversight from the Federal Communications Commission (FCC).
The Outreach Coordinator will be responsible for raising awareness about the ACP, driving enrollment, and managing the implementation of a mass media campaign and ACP marketing strategy across various digital and social media channels. This role is pivotal in ensuring that eligible households within Forsyth County have the internet connections they need for work, education, healthcare, and other essential services.
K e y Responsibilities:
1. Promotion and Outreach:
• Develop and execute outreach strategies to inform eligible individuals and households about the ACP.
• Collaborate with community partners, local organizations, and relevant stakeholders to
maximize program reach.
• Organize and participate in community events, workshops, and informational sessions.
2. Enrollment Management:
• Assist individuals and households in the application process for the ACP, including guiding them through the application form.
• Provide support and information to address applicant questions and concerns.
• Track and monitor application progress and follow up as needed.
3. Digital and Social Media Campaign:
• Develop and implement a comprehensive digital and social media strategy targeting ACP- eligible households.
• Create engaging content, including posts, graphics, and videos, to raise awareness and
encourage enrollment.
• Manage social media accounts, respond to inquiries, and foster online engagement.
4. Mass Communication:
• Coordinate mass text messaging campaigns and phone banks to reach potential program beneficiaries.
• Monitor the effectiveness of outreach efforts and adjust strategies as needed.
5. Reporting and Documentation:
• Maintain accurate records of outreach activities, enrollment numbers, and program m impact.
• Generate regular reports for grant reporting and program evaluation purposes.
Qualifications and Requirements:
• Associate's degree or higher in Communications, Marketing, Social Work, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of digital marketing and social media platforms.
• Experience in community outreach and engagement.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse communities.
• Passion for ensuring equitable access to essential services, including broadband internet.
E mployment Type: Part-Time; approximately 20 hrs/wk, not to exceed 40 hours per 2 week pay period, Temporary (Two-Year Grant Period)
