    United Woundcare Institute is the country's leading mobile wound care company with operations in 11 States.

    This position is a medical assistant in our rapidly growing New York City Boroughs market and will be a critical part of our care delivery team.

    Our company is dedicated to healing wounds and employs a unique multi-disciplinary model across care environments to do so. You will be responsible primarily for supporting the clinical team in seeing patients in their homes throughout the five boroughs.

    Our model allows us to practice at the cutting edge of medical practice, utilizing advanced techniques including artificial, stem-cell and growth factor skin grafts which we will teach you to apply in the comfort of the patient's living room.

    Your job is to accompany our providers, make them feel comfortable and safe as we see patients throughout the boroughs in their homes, and accomplish key medical support tasks. Often times you will also drive providers to appointments utilizing either your car and/or a company car.

    You must be willing to be trained in assisting with simple tasks like helping to move patients or hand supplies to providers as specified by the provider. These tasks include: initial patient assessments, wound measurements, recording of

    results in the EMR, assisting providers in assessing and managing wounds, positioning patients, wound dressing changing and redressing.

    Ability to draw blood with strong competence is a huge plus.

    There is bonus potential for superlative performance.

    Qualifications for this position:

    Medical Assistant training

    Relevant licensure

    Ability to and willingness to travel to see patients in their homes through five boroughs with expectation of about 5 visits a day

    Experience in woundcare a plus but not absolutely necessary

    Ability to effectively draw blood a huge plus but not absolutely necessary
