    Job Description

    The Clinical Clearance Coordinator plays a pivotal role in ensuring that healthcare education students meet all necessary requirements for clinical placement, thereby facilitating their transition from classroom learning to hands-on clinical experience. This position involves collaborating with various stakeholders, including students, faculty members, clinical site personnel, and administrative staff, to streamline the clearance process and maintain compliance with regulatory standards.

    Student Liaison:

    • Serve as the primary point of contact for healthcare education students regarding clinical clearance procedures.
    • Provide guidance and support to students throughout the clearance process, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
    • Foster positive relationships with students, promoting a supportive and encouraging environment.

    Clearance Coordination:

    • Develop and implement procedures for managing clinical clearance requirements, ensuring alignment with institutional policies and regulatory guidelines.
    • Collect, review, and maintain documentation related to student immunizations, background checks, drug screenings, and other clearance criteria.
    • Monitor expiration dates of clearances and facilitate timely renewals as needed.

    Collaboration with Stakeholders:

    • Collaborate with faculty members to communicate clearance expectations and coordinate student compliance efforts.
    • Liaise with clinical site personnel to facilitate the exchange of clearance documentation and address site-specific requirements.
    • Coordinate with administrative staff to ensure accurate record-keeping and documentation of student clearances.

    Compliance Management:

    • Stay abreast of regulatory requirements and accreditation standards relevant to clinical education programs.
    • Conduct periodic audits of clearance documentation to assess compliance and identify areas for improvement.
    • Assist in the development of policies and procedures to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the clearance process.

    Training and Education:

    • Conduct orientation sessions and workshops to educate students on clearance requirements and procedures.
    • Provide training to faculty and staff on best practices for managing student clearances and ensuring compliance.
    • Stay informed about emerging trends and best practices in healthcare education and clearance management.

    Other duties as assigned which assist in the success and expansion of the partnership programs;

    Pay Range: $26-$29/hr DOE
    Position will be working 9am-6pm PST

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, nursing, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
    • Previous experience in healthcare education or clinical coordination role preferred.
    • Previous experience working with immunization and compliance tracking software preferred (Complio and American DataBank)
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite specifically excel
    • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and accreditation standards for healthcare education programs.
