    We are the largest independently owned supplier of construction supplies and concrete accessories for professional contractors in Southern California.

    We started as a home-based business just over 12 years ago and have grown to have 4 branches in Southern California. We are a relatively young company with an aggressive vision to grow and to become the best in our industry.

    Our Purchasing Manager will be responsible for sourcing products, maintaining ideal inventory levels, and managing vendors. You will excel in strategic procurement activities, search for the best deals, and find the most profitable suppliers.

    You will interact with branch managers, sales reps, and accounting. You will report directly to the CEO.

    RESPONSIBILITIES • You will develop, lead, and execute purchasing strategies and processes • You will track and report key metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness • You will negotiate best pricing, payment terms, freight costs, and rebates with our vendors • You will assess, manage and mitigate risks • You will seek and partner with reliable vendors • You will determine quantity and timing of deliveries for orders and inventory • You will monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand • Ensure that all orders arrive on time and on budget Requirements • You love sourcing and vendor management • You love negotiation and networking • You use technology wisely as it pertains to your role. We use Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) heavily and our ERP is SAP B1 • You understand the difference between lowest price vs lowest cost • You can gather and analyze data and make valuable and timely conclusions • You demonstrate wise judgement and decision-making skills • You have strong leadership capabilities • You work well on a team as well as work well independently Strongly preferred • BS degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or other relevant field • Proven working experience as Purchasing Manager
