 CAREER OPPORTUNITY – CLAIMS ANALYST WITH UNITY FINANCIAL LIFE INSURANCE COMPANY IN CINCINNATI, OH

As a CLAIMS ANALYST, you will manage the entire claims function including collection of proofs of death, claim calculation and payment, and the pending claims in accordance with policy provisions and state laws. Additionally, you will:

• Prepare claim file (including print policy application & other documentation for claim processing)
• Complete claim jacket form spreadsheet when applicable
• Occasional investigations and formulating recommendations for policy rescission
• Verify claim payment and prepare disbursement journal entry for approval and payment by accounting
• Terminate policy in the policy administration system, enter payee and cause of death
• Prepare files for image
• Handle death claim calls from agents, funeral homes, and clients (includes calculating and quoting death benefit, suspending policies for death, etc.)
• Follow-up on pending claims for outstanding documents
• Policy research
• Update claims checklist

QUALIFIED CANDIDATES WILL HAVE:

• Associates Degree or equivalent work experience
• 3-5 years life insurance experience and/or LOMA matriculation is desirable
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Excellent customer service skills
• Self-starter, comfortable working in fast paced environment
