    Job Description

    Unity Web Agency is seeking an accessibility marketing coordinator who is passionate about using their talents as a force for good. We are specifically looking for a new team member who is local to the Raleigh/Durham area of NC. We are a small team who works closely together to make sustainable and accessible websites for our clients.

    WHAT IS AN ACCESSIBILITY MARKETING COORDINATOR? Well... we are an accessibility web agency that creates websites that are usable by ALL people regardless of (dis)ability. Our marketing needs to reflect that!

    You will work as a core team member with management and designers to successfully implement our marketing plan to deliver consistent, quality, profitable revenue. This will begin as a contracted position at 20 hours per week with the opportunity for a permanent position on our team.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Manage Unity’s social media
    • Manage Unity’s content marketing
    • Write blog posts and case studies showcasing Unity’s prior work
    • Create and send newsletters to segmented lists of customers, prospects, and leads
    • Use defined goals to plan marketing strategies, tactics, and KPIs
    • Network with potential prospects
    • Attend and take notes during sales calls
    • Assist sales with creating proposals

    SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Exceptional communications and writing skills
    • Skillful in Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn
    • Working knowledge of WordPress, Hubspot, and Mailchimp
    • Familiarity with web accessibility principles
    • Passionate about breaking down common barriers to access on the web
    • Demonstrated experience creating successful marketing campaigns
    • Professional approach to achieving and delivering results within allocated timeframes

    COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

    Contract-To-Hire

    • The starting compensation for this position is $22 per hour. After an initial 90-day trial period, your performance will be reviewed and your position will be evaluated to determine eligibility for a permanent position.

    Permanent Team Members

    • All permanent team members are paid the same salary of $51,480 per year or the hourly equivalent of $27.62. We created this policy to eliminate the historical pay inequities in the tech industry due to role, gender, race, ethnicity, age, and sexual orientation. As a team, we can increase the pay for all by meeting company goals and objectives. Our leadership team meets every 3 months to review company performance and to set upcoming goals.
    • Company will reimburse qualified healthcare expenses (including premiums) up to $400 per month for permanent team members
    • Full-time team members receive 15 days of paid vacation time and 12 paid holidays per year.
