Taproot Church

Located next to University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA), one of the most diverse campuses in the nation, with tens of thousands of students representing a wide range of ethnic, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds, our church sits at a strategic crossroads for the gospel. We exist to reach and disciple college students by empowering them to reach their own campus, because no one is more effective at engaging students than their peers.

While large churches across San Antonio serve the broader community well, they often struggle to penetrate the relational fabric of campus life in the same way a student-led movement can. That's why our model is built on identifying, training, and sending student leaders as disciplers, creating a multiplying impact that extends far beyond what staff alone could accomplish.

For those sensing a call to invest in the next generation, our two-year residency offers an opportunity to be equipped in leadership, discipleship, and mission, while working alongside student leaders already on the front lines. Your job would be supporting, sharpening, and expanding a movement that is reaching the campus from within. Career opportunities are available only to those that complete our 2 year residency program.
