    Job Description

    Are you a relationship-focused banking professional who enjoys helping customers while handling a variety of new account and customer service responsibilities? Our community bank is seeking a Customer Service Representative III to provide exceptional customer service, open consumer and commercial accounts, and support customers with their day-to-day banking needs.

    This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys building customer relationships, identifying financial needs, and contributing to a team-oriented banking environment.

    What You'll Do

    • Deliver exceptional customer service while creating a positive banking experience for every customer.
    • Open and service consumer and commercial deposit accounts, including checking, savings, CDs, IRAs, and related products.
    • Process customer transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, payments, transfers, and check cashing.
    • Assist customers with account maintenance, stop payments, direct deposits, account holds, and other service requests.
    • Research and resolve customer inquiries with professionalism and accuracy.
    • Identify customer needs and cross-sell deposit and loan products when appropriate.
    • Refer consumer and commercial loan opportunities for approval.
    • Process loan payments and other account transactions.
    • Maintain and balance a cash drawer while adhering to bank policies and procedures.
    • Assist with ATM balancing and cash management activities.
    • Support night deposit and mail banking functions as needed.
    • Serve as a knowledgeable resource for customers and team members.
    • Participate in community and volunteer activities that support the bank's presence in the market.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • 3–5 years of banking experience required.
    • Experience opening both consumer and commercial deposit accounts.
    • Strong cash handling and balancing experience.
    • Knowledge of deposit products, banking regulations, and customer service best practices.
    • Ability to identify opportunities and recommend appropriate banking products and services.
    • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.
    • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
    • Professional demeanor with a passion for providing outstanding customer service.
