Business Development Associate
General Summary: Source new sales opportunities nationally through research, cold calls, emails and follow-up activities. Solicit new accounts, build rapport and provide technical information (including capabilities of multiple plant locations) to potential or existing customers. This is a growth position within the company and could lead to a prominent role within the Sales Department. Responsibilities: - Cold calling; making multiple outbound calls to potential clients and establishing a line of communication with potential customers - Determining customer needs and recommending appropriate products and solutions - Presenting and delivering information to potential clients - Creating/Maintaining a list/database of prospect clients - Qualifying leads from Online searches, digital campaigns, conferences, references, tradeshows etc. - Understanding and communicating customer needs - Internal communication of sales leads to Sales department and Management - Addressing and resolving service concerns, should they arise Working Environment: - Works in an office environment - Normal weekday schedule, 8:00AM to 5:00PM is typical. Flexibility on this schedule is possible and can be negotiated Desired Minimum Qualifications: - Associates Degree in Business or related degree - Ability to learn and develop an understanding of our companies' services and the Aluminum Extrusion industry - Computer proficiency - Ability to research new sales leads using online search engines - Microsoft Office - Possess good interpersonal skills with sound written and oral communication skills - Strong listening skills - Strong organizational skills - Excellent multitasking skills - Be personally motivated
