    Job Summary

    We are seeking a Medical Assistant to join our team! As a Medical Assistant, you will be preparing for each patient visit by preparing charts and pulling notes before their arrival, providing routine support alongside nurses and medical staff, and assisting with keeping track of tests and lab reporting to ensure everything arrives on time and the patient is kept informed on their condition and care. You will also be helping manage the inventory of medical supplies, setting up machines and testing equipment, and cleaning instruments and rooms as needed. The ideal candidate has strong customer service skills, an interest in learning more about a working medical environment, and has previous office experience. We are looking for Front office/Medical assistant candidates who;

    • Must have at least two years of experience in urgent care and occupational health services (workers' compensation) clinics.
    • Multi-tasking and can function in a busy environment.
    • Have excellent communication skills and engage with the patients' treatments.
    • Immediate contact with employers after completing the services and sending the documents to the employers -Needs also to cover the front-office part-time
    • Billing experience is a plus.
    • Have experience and ability to work closely with medical providers doctors, administer vaccines and other injections, audiogram testing, phlebotomy, EKG, and respirator fit testing, pulmonary function tests.
    • Have experience, certificates, and ability to do DOT and non-DOT drug and alcohol testing.
    • Must be Bilingual (Spanish/ English) and able to interpret for the providers
    • Excellent communication with payers, insurance, and billing departments and sending them documents and information they need the same day.
    • cleaning the exam rooms and replacing the items that were used
    • Getting the medical information (PMH, FH, SH, SH, ROS, vitals, HPI, and more) from the patient and enter on the patient's charts
    • Being an excellent team player Ability to multi-task and pay attention to detail

    Prepare for the patient visit, including pulling charts and notes, as well as setting up medical equipment

    Clean instruments and equipment after use

    Answer phones and field questions about medical issues, identifying visit needs

    Assist nurses and doctors with basic medical care and procedures

    Track lab results, call in prescriptions, and handle basic medical office duties

    Qualifications

    Medical assistant Certification

    Excellent customer service skills

    Strong attention to detail

    Must be Bilingual
