We are seeking an energetic, experienced, NYS Certified Teacher to join our team! As a Teacher, you will lead a class of students through a successful school year, creating and implementing a comprehensive educational curriculum. Your goal is to create a welcoming learning environment and provide students with the tools they need to reach their full potential. The ideal candidate is compassionate, creative, and has a passion for teaching!

Responsibilities:

Follow Creative Curriculum and complete Teaching Strategies Gold online Assessments

Prepare Lesson plans, to include small group and center learning activities

Understand Developmentally Appropriate Practice and plan lessons and activities

Prep for daily activities and classroom set-up

Supervise a Teacher's Assistant

Able to create and build out fun and engaging play themes

Understand NYS Early Learning Standards

Adhere to OCFS regulations

Write anecdotal notes daily

Document students’ learning progress weekly, online

Collaborate with other teachers and public school personnel to create a healthy and safe learning environment

Report and document behavioral incidents

Conduct Parent-Teacher Conferences

Learn and adhere to the classroom systems and standards

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or higher and state teaching certification in Birth -2nd Grade

Previous experience teaching at the PK- 3rd grade level is preferred

Understanding of child development principles and best practices in education and classroom management. ECERS

Knowledge of classroom health, safety, and sanitation guidelines and ability to closely adhere to the guidelines. OCFS Standards

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Professional Etiquette and Excellent attendance history

Ability to maintain a clean and organized learning environment

Maintain daily attendance and health checks.
