    Job Description

    Universal Soul Service is seeking a dynamic, energetic person to fill a newly created Office Manager role at our San Francisco location. In collaboration with the Center Leading Teacher, the Office Manager will be responsible to supervise and lead the centre operations and employees. By completing a range of tasks to ensure the centre productivity, profitability and efficiency including creating and implementing business strategies and evaluating the centres performance.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Laisse with the center, executive team and corporate teams to create and implement an annual business plan and budget.
    • Manage event budgets and identify to the Leading Teacher when the budget is not aligned.
    • Liaise with Headquarters and the Leading Teachers to achieve the centres financial position efficiently ensuring that all company financial policies and procedures are adhered to.
    • Liaise with Headquarters and lead on all centre legal issues including all public, employee, insurances etc.
    • Liaise with Travelling Teachers and Headquarters to ensure all Intercompany summary reports are created and submitted for approval. Confirm that all travelling teachers have appropriate work VISA’s.
    • Day to day Human Resources responsibilities.
    • Lead on all health and safety requirements.
    • Manage the day-to-day operations of the centre focusing on positive customer experiences.
    • Ensure that appropriate product inventory is maintained at the center.
    • Liaise with Headquarters for IT system development, implementation and security.
    • Manage the centre facilities including building security and off-site storage facilities.
    • Liaise with the Headquarters Marketing team to create and coordinate the center marketing plan with budget to include center events, outreach program, web-site development, social media, print advertising, TV/Radio, leaflet production/distribution, retention plans etc. Ensuring that all marketing material adhere to brand guidelines set by Headquarters.
    • Coordinate and participate in external events, i.e. fairs, expos, festivals, etc., with team.
    • Create and maintain the Centre event schedules.
    • Liaise with the center teachers to promote program development

    SKILLS

    • Proven bias for action, excellent critical thinking and time management skills
    • Proven experience running a small business or department
    • Ability to evaluate and analyze information towards effective and profitable decision making
    • 2 – 3 years’ experience managing a team
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office
    • Post-Secondary School degree in Business or another relevant degree
    • Additional language skills an asset
    • Ability to work evenings and weekends.
