    Job Description

     

    University Instructors is recruiting for immediate placement of full-time Elementary Education, Mathematics, English and Science teachers (credentialed and non-credentialed) in Paducah, KY.

    RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

    · Commit to ongoing professional development in the spirit of continuous improvement

    · Develop appropriate lesson plans, assignments, and assessments in conjunction with the KY State Standards

    · Work closely in grade level teams to discuss student work, share best practices, plan events for joy and humor, and ensure student mastery of standards

    · Engage families in their children’s education by building relationships and maintaining regular communication

    QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

    · BACHELOR’S DEGREE REQUIRED

    · MINIMUM OF ONE YEAR OF EXPERIENCE WORKING WITH CHILDREN IN AN ACADEMIC ENVIRONMENT REQUIRED

    · CURRENT TEACHING LICENSE IN ELEMENTARY, MIDDLE, OR HIGH SCHOOL EDUCATION PREFERRED BUT NOT REQUIRED

    · MUST BE WILLING TO OBTAIN PERMIT IF NOT LICENSED

    · MUST HAVE COPY OF YOUR COLLEGE TRANSCRIPTS AVAILABLE IF NOT LICENSED

    · Commitment to and experience working with underserved communities

    · Determination to drive student achievement and set high expectation for all students

    · Demonstrated expertise in subject area of choice
