    Stamford Hospital is seeking an empathetic and adaptable individual with a “can-do” attitude to provide the highest level of compassionate care to oncology patients as an Oncology Chemotherapy Resource Nurse within the Stamford Hospital Bennett Cancer Center. Exercise your collaborative skills while providing leadership and structure to a multi-disciplinary clinical treatment workgroup. The position is part-time (30 hours/week) with full-time benefits. In this role you will review chemotherapy treatment plans to prevent medication errors, promote quality and safety improvements, and design and build chemotherapy regimens with EMR. You will lead the team to accomplish the department’s strategic plan and align with the organizational goals. Major responsibilities include ensuring that evidence for new treatment plans are evaluated comprehensively and comply with NCCN guidelines, developing training and education to ensure accurate use of the Oncology EMR systems, monitoring compliance with Chemotherapy Administration Safety Standards, maintaining an extensive understanding of EMR applications, and effectively translating the clinical regimen into electronic regimen with a critical eye towards minimizing the risk of errors in chemotherapy ordering, preparation, and administration.

    SHIFT: MONDAY – FRIDAY. DAY SHIFT. FLEXIBLE HOURS. NO WEEKENDS OR HOLIDAYS.

    Required Skills

    1. Current RN License in CT.

    2. BSN Degree required.

    3. Exceptional IT skills required.

    4. OCN Certificate highly preferred.

    5. 3-5 years of previous Oncology Nursing experience preferred.

    6. Previous treatment planning experience preferred.
