    Stamford Hospital Rehabilitation Services is seeking an engaged team-player to work as a part-time Clinical Assistant in our 17-bed facility. The Clinical Assistant is responsible for collaborating with the care team to implement the plan of care, advocating on behalf of our patients and inspiring independence in performing ADLs. This position may require floating to additional units.

    Work schedule: Evening shift 3:00pm-11:00 PM, flexibility to work night shift 11:00pm-7:00am as needed, rotating weekends and holidays. Approximately 18.75 hours a week.

    Mobility is necessary to provide patient care. Physical effort is required to assist patients with transfer and ambulation, which may involve lifting, pushing and pulling patients. Hearing within normal range is necessary in order to properly conduct assessments. Must be able to endure prolonged periods of standing and walking.

    Required Skills

    1. Minimum of high school diploma, GED or equivalent

    2. Must have one of the following:

    -Certified from a CNA program

    -Enrolled in an accredited nursing program having completed core nursing curriculum for ADLs' as part of clinical rotations

    -Graduate of a foreign nursing program

    -A graduate of an accredited nursing program, having failed board licensure (2 chances)

    1. Heart Saver or equivalent required

    2. Previous rehab experience preferred

    Required Experience

  • Qualifications
