  • Responsibilities

    Under the supervision of, and in collaboration with the Assistant Chief Nursing Officer directs, plans, coordinates, monitors, promotes and evaluates all components of the Telemetry, Medical Unit, Infusion Center, Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) and hospitalist services in collaboration with the Medical Directors and Managers.  Coordinates all aspects and activities of the Medical Services lines which includes Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU), Telemetry Unit, Acute Dialysis, Medical Unit, Infusion Center and hospitalist services.  Collaborates with appropriate hospital and medical leadership to ensure the integrity of the service line across the continuum of care.  Collaborates and plans initiatives with the appropriate Medical Directors.  Assures compliance with standards, policies and requirements of governmental and regulatory agencies. #CB

    3. Proven leadership ability, with demonstrated success in engendering trust, confidence, and commitment of medical staff.
    4. Demonstrated ability to plan and carry out projects or change initiatives of significant magnitude.
    5. Ability to read and comprehend English at a level necessary to follow written and oral instructions and safety precautions. 
    6. Bilingual preferred (English/Spanish).

    Required Experience

    A. Work Experience:

    1. Seven years progressive Nursing Healthcare Supervisory/Management experience with a strong background in cardiovascular or critical care. 
    2. Contract development/negotiation preferred.
    3. Physician contracting and business plan development experience preferred.

    B. License/Registration/Certification:

    1. Current Texas or compact RN license to practice in the State of Texas required.
    2. Current CPR training program
    3. CCRN or CEN preferred.
    4. Nursing Executive Leadership certification preferred within two years of being in the position.

    C. Education:

    1. Bachelor of Science in Nursing required. 
    2. Masters degree in Nursing Business, Healthcare Administrative, or related field required.
