    The Business Analyst interprets results using a variety of techniques, ranging from simple data aggregation via statistical analysis to complex data mining. Aids in design, development, implementation and maintenance of designated business solutions. Based on requirement, they will work directly with clients, vendors and/or business leaders to identify analytical requirements and supporting marketing efforts. This position will report directly to the Regional Pricing and Sourcing Manager.  Upon direction, this position will also interact for support with utility Business Development.

     

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Create and maintain extensive databases comprised of company data within designated environment(s).
    • Analyze and publish extensive data and associated marketing reports regarding sales, historical demand and performance for key customers, vendors and sales management.
    • Work with internal business units to develop effective marketing tools and reporting.
    • Perform opportunity analysis of future business projects.
    • Analyze ongoing business requirements across projects and business units.
    • Perform and coordinate market research, market assessments, and determine the technical, economic, and market potential for Irby sales programs.
    • Provides support for major Request for Proposal (RFP) pricing events and other strategic sourcing projects.
    • Provides support in the implementation and maintenance of major utility awards.
    • Perform system adjustments so that vendor alignments conform to Corporate objectives.
    • Frequently solicits vendor ship dates and updates company networks accordingly.
    • Perform database queries and configure the data in a format that Management can use to review various departments’ performance.
    • Other duties may be assigned.

    SKILLS

    • One year of Data Warehousing and Business Analysis experience using tools including Data Analysis, Report Writing and/or Development experience.
    • Work history of successful software utilization of latest technologies in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Visual Studio, Tableau and SharePoint.
    • Requires working ability to operate within the Eclipse ERP system and associate to internal Irby report means (Intranet and DSP).

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    • One year of Data Warehousing and Business Analysis experience using tools including Data Analysis, Report Writing and/or Development experience.
    • Work history of successful software utilization of latest technologies in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Visual Studio, Tableau and SharePoint.
    • Also requires working ability to operate within the Eclipse ERP system and associate to internal Irby report means (Intranet and DSP).

     

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
