  • Responsibilities

     

    JOB SUMMARY:  Drives liquefied gas, or electric powered industrial truck equipped with lifting devices such as forklift, boom, clamps, elevating platform to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products, equipment, or materials by performing the following duties. They understand and align business operations and the Department as he/she executes their role to exceed customer expectations and align with GPI business, cultural, financial and operational objectives.

     

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

     

    • MOVES LEVERS AND PRESSES PEDALS TO DRIVE TRUCK AND CONTROL MOVEMENT OF LIFTING APPARATUS.

    • Positions forks, clamp, lifting platform, or other lifting device under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, boxes, products, or rolls and transports load to designated area.

    • Loads, unloads and stacks material by raising and lowering lifting device.

    • Inventories materials on work floor, and supply workers with materials as needed.

    • Records load information into computer, labels, or production schedules.

    • Loads or unloads materials onto or off of pallets, skids, or lifting device.

    • Scans loads into location

    • Lubricates truck, recharges batteries, fills fuel tank, or replaces liquefied gas tank.

     

    QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

    To perform this job successfully, an individual must have excellent attendance, be able to work independently and be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.                EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

    High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

     

    LANGUAGE SKILLS:

    Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

     

    MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

    Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

     

    REASONING ABILITY:

    Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

     

    CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

    Company issued Fork Truck Operator’s license.

     

    RCRA TRAINING (IF APPLICABLE):

    Must complete RCRA Training to be able to properly handle any hazardous waste made within the printing process.

    5. Technically competent in tasks within the scope of practice of a Registered Nurse.
    6. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
    7. Ability to read and comprehend English at a level necessary to follow written and oral instructions and safety precautions.
