Ultrasound Tech I-Far East Emergency
POSITION SUMMARY: IN ADDITION TO THE GENERAL DUTIES PERFORMED BY ANY R.N., THE PRE-OP/PACU NURSE IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE DELIVERY OF QUALITY PROFESSIONAL NURSING CARE TO THE PERI-ANESTHESIA PATIENT. HE/SHE ASSISTS IN MAINTAINING THE OVERALL FUNCTION OF THE RECOVERY ROOM AND THE PRE-OP AREA.
Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
1. Assesses and maintains adequate ventilation
2. Assesses and maintains hemostats and circulation
3. Assesses level of consciousness and promotes activity
4. Insures Safety and Comfort
5. Attends to spiritual and emotional needs
6. Promotes continuity of care, etc
7. Recognizes signs and symptoms of post-anesthesia complications
Required Skills
Professional
Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
Currently licensed to practice in state of Michigan
Participation in continuing education progra
Two (2) year general duty experiene
One (1) year ICU or Recovery Room experiene
Current ACLS or completion of ACLS prior to annual evaluation; PALS as assigned
