    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    This position is responsible for the professional and efficient managing of telephone calls and messages.

    • Answers incoming telephone calls, determines purpose of callers, and forwards calls to appropriate personnel or department. Keeping a log of calls and information received.
    • Welcomes on-site visitors, determines nature of business, and announces visitors to appropriate personnel.

    Typical environments include office, light industrial, commercial, utility and manufacturing.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Work may include outdoor work exposed to elements and non-conditioned spaces.

    Required Skills Required Experience

    • One to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Knowledge of office procedures, practices, and etiquette.
    • Skill in telephone/receptionist etiquette and courteous communication with public, verbally and in writing.
    • Correct English usage, grammar, spelling, punctuation, and vocabulary.

    5. Ability to utilize computer software applications to include Clinical Information Systems, word processing, spreadsheets and graphic presentations required.
    6. Proven leadership abilities with a comprehensive knowledge of healthcare information systems and understanding of clinical applications from a user perspective.
    7. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
    8. Ability to read and comprehend English at a level necessary to follow written and oral instructions and safety precautions.
    9. Excellent verbal and written communication/presentation skills.  Ability to present to senior management, physicians and all levels of staff.
    10. Demonstrated skills in troubleshooting, analytical, strategic and critical thinking, negotiation and relationship building.
    11. Occasional evening or weekend activities required.
    12. Occasional travel required.
