Position description

University Place is hiring part time and full time security officers to work on security staff. Great climatized working conditions and pleasant atmosphere. Shifts would be 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday thru Saturday.

Great pay up to $32.00 per hour depending on qualifications. Benefits available for officers over 30 hours per week.

Duties include:

• Patrol the mall

• Respond immediately to criminal activity or emergency situations

• Assist mall patrons

• Enforce parking rules

• Provide security for mall events

Position qualifications

We only hire POST-certified individuals. We prefer individuals who are currently active police officers with a law enforcement organization like police, sheriff, highway patrol, correctional facility, private security firm, etc. or who are retired from one of these organizations.

• Must be physically fit.

• Must be able to walk extended periods of time.

• Must be physically and mentally able to properly control criminal activity.

• Must have excellent social skills in order to represent University Place professionally to all patrons.

• Must demonstrate behaviors and mannerisms that convey approachability.

• Must be able to perform detailed reporting of activities.

• Must be well groomed to convey a professional image.
