    Customer Service Representative

    Part-Time Non-Exempt

    POSITION SUMMARY

    Responsible for UB Card customer service, paperwork and day-to-day administration support.

    EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

    Typical schedule is part time, SATURDAY OFF, SUNDAY OFF, MONDAY 12:00pm-4:30pm, TUESDAY 8:30am-4:30pm, WEDNESDAY 12:00pm-4:30pm, THURSDAY 12:00pm-4:30pm, FRIDAY 12:00pm-4:30pm with the occasional need for overtime as needed during peak periods

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    FRONT COUNTER OPERATIONS

    · Processes online requests daily, handles as instructed.

    · Sells all plans and accounts associated with the UB Card.

    · Provides superior customer service at all times.

    · Assists with marketing efforts to develop and sell new and established products.

    · Monitors telephone communication with customers, returns voicemail calls.

    · Processes meal plan purchases and changes to insure proper recording and billing.

    · Scans daily paperwork.

    · Any other duties as requested by Management.

    COORDINATION WITH OTHER DEPARTMENTS

    · Processes requests from other departments as appropriate.

    · Serves as a liaison with the Students Accounts office for purposes of insuring correct billing of student account charges.

    EDUCATION AND TRAINING

    · High School Diploma or higher.

    DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

    · Working knowledge of corporate email system, MS Office, Internet Applications and bowsers required.

    · Knowledgeable in cash handling procedures including setting up banks for cashiers.

    · Exceptional organizational, interpersonal and communication skills required.

    · Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.

    · Knowledge of University HUB system for billing and inquiry preferred.

    · Knowledge of ID card systems preferred.

    · Supervisory experience preferred.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT

    · This position operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, photocopies, phones, filing cabinets, fax machines etc.

    PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS

    · While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear.

    · Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.

    · The employee must have the ability to use hands and fingers, manipulate fingers; and reach with hands and arms.

    · The position requires manual dexterity; auditory and visual skills; and the ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures.

    · The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl

    · The employee must frequently lift and or move up to 10 lbs. and occasionally lift and or move up to 25 lbs

    · The selected candidate will be required to complete and pass a background check including criminal history.
